Educational activities - 5 options to choose from

‘Hidden in the Royal Treasure’ | Visit-game | This is a mysterious and magical treasure, which can be unravelled in the dark, among sparkles and colours.... By following clues and deciphering riddles, you'll discover the museum's most valuable treasures and their intriguing stories!

‘My Kingdom for a day’ | visit-workshop | The Museum holds valuable treasures that belonged to queens and kings in Portuguese history. Among the most striking objects. Inspired by the collection and its history, we'll create crowns and decorations fit for a king or queen!

‘Adventures of the Royal Knights’ | Fencing class with foil and scenic interpretation | 18th century scenic fencing sessions with (toy) foil. After training in scenic fencing techniques, participants will have to perform a fencing scene or an interpretation based on famous theatre plays such as the 3 Musketeers or Robin Hood.

‘Puppets of Royal Tales’ | Puppet workshop | Session where puppets are built and played with, telling fantastic and some true stories of kings and queens, knights and beautiful ladies.

‘The Treasure of the Goldsmith’ | The Goldsmith's workshop | A session where you learn where precious stones come from and the secrets of silver and gold. A workshop dedicated to youngsters with interaction.


Conditions

Activities: choose one from "Hidden in the Royal Treasury" and "My Kingdom for a Day" | choose one from: "Adventures of the Royal Knights", "Puppets from Royal Tales" and "The Treasure of the Goldsmith" 

Duration: up to 180 min. (3 hours)

Price: 37.50€/participant - free accompaniment by 2 responsible adults

Booking: up to 15 days with completion of the form: Booking Form

Capacity: 15 (min.) to 20 (max.) children

Age: Between 6 and 12 years

Adults: Two adults responsible for the birthday child and guests must be present. Entry is offered to the two adults responsible. Additional adults may be present if they purchase normal admission to the museum.

Payment: by bank transfer by the Monday before

Cancellation: free up to 30 days before | 50% up to 15 days | 100% 15 days or less

Birthday cake: The two adults responsible for accompanying the event must bring the birthday cake.

Snack: The snack consists of drinks, healthy snacks and sweet snacks and is sized according to the number of children registered (gluten-free options). Consumables for adults are not included.

Optional: Possibility of purchasing children's products to give to guests and the birthday boy or girl, such as fabric crowns, pencils, pens, puppets, among other products available in our museum shop with a 10% discount.
